Birrificio Lambrate's first beer was born in 1996 and was called Montestella.
Over the years it has undergone several revisions to find its own identity in a pure Lambrate-style pilsner.
It owes its name to Monte Stella, known to the Milanese as "La Montagnetta di San Siro," which rose from the rubble of World War II at the hands of the great architect Piero Bottoni, who dedicated the project to his wife Stella.
